Brief Biography

Lissy holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Lesley University, U.S.A. She was appointed a Clinical Fellow in Psychology by Harvard University, trained at McLean Hospital. Lissy specializes in behavioural and emotional problems of children and adolescents while working with parents, teachers and families. Her work focuses on enhancing parent-child relationships, handling fear & anxiety, school adjustment issues including peer pressure and bullying in school-aged children, among others. In managing the teenage years, issues on self-esteem, identity and relationship issues, self-image and eating disorders have been the focus. In working with adults, she focuses on pre-marital counselling and marital relationship enrichment as well as the individual adult life transition issues. Her extensive experience in the United States, Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia covers diverse cultural groups in the expatriate setting. Her special interests are child/adolescent issues, parenting, marital enhancement including cross cultural relationships and midlife transitions. She is a certified Imago Relationship Therapist and facilitates the “Connected Parents, Thriving Kids” workshop based on the Imago Parenting Model.
